Is this 60-hour Paramedic Refresher course accredited?

The Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) is an accreditation organization that evaluates and accredits continuing education programs for emergency medical services (EMS) providers.

Impact EMS Training’s courses are all CAPCE-accredited. Meaning they have been reviewed and approved by CAPCE as meeting their standards for quality and relevance to the field of EMS.

How do I obtain my certificates?

You can complete your continuing education requirements at your convenience and obtain your certifications immediately upon course or lesson completion.

Our automated system syncs with CAPCE and automatically uploads your certificates to the NREMT to report your continuing education hours effortlessly.

Will this meet all of the requirements for my NREMT recertification?

Inside your learning path, we will assign you 60 hours of continuing education courses you must complete for your recertification.

This includes 30 CEUs for the national component, 15 CEUs for the individual component, and 15 CEUs for the local component.

Does this course have any live or distributive education (DE)?

Our refresher courses no longer have any live education within the course requirements.

Due to the NREMT removing the distributive education limits, you can now recertify completely with online-only education.
The NREMT’s Distributive Education Update:
“All EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics due to recertify on March 31, 2023, and beyond, and EMRs due to recertify on September 30, 2023, and beyond, will have no limits on Distributive Education (or online continuing education). The removal of limits now allows all four levels of providers to accomplish continuing education online through any state-accepted or CAPCE-accredited program. Of course, in-person continuing education will continue to be accepted, too.”

2025 Review of the 60-hour Paramedic Refresher Course

The course was overall very good and the knowledge and skill of the instructors was superb. The classes could be improved with slides or some type of hand outs for the students (the paramedic specific classes) for note taking. The individual block of classes, while beyond the level of most paramedics, were refreshing and challenging!

It is a shame the NREMT got rid of the in-person requirements for a portion of the classes - they were very beneficial. Adding a few, despite it not being a requirement, would be very attractive. Perhaps a live Q&A session once a week.

I would highly recommend this course to any responder!
